71 tilt column switch question

I put a 1971 tilt column from a el camino in my 70 gto. Since it is a chvy column what ignition switch do I need. I tried 2 gto 1970 switches for a tilt column but they seemed to be at the end of their adjustment and when the wheel was full tilt up it screwed them up. Do I need a firebird/ grand prix switch? or what?
