car
Do you feel your car is unique and perhaps more attractive and/or eye catching then other similar models? Would you like to have a one-of-a-kind special drawing, (perhaps with slight modifications to the car), for display and/or history?
I am not selling or drawing but I can give you a source for such a drawing. My son Tom found that one of the artists that worked on “The Simpsons” TV series – Mark Ervin - would do a special drawing in your desired style using whatever basis you want. Tom arranged for Mark to draw a 12” X 20” image of my ’71 LeMans wagon in an older “drag race” style. Please Excuse
Jim, please excuse me for this post if it's out of place. But I thought you and maybe a few others might get a chuckle out of it.
We raced nothing but Rhoads lifters in all our 455 bracket cars. We were not trying to go fast, just the 12 sec bracket. So, we ran a RA4 grind cam, Rhoads lifters and a TH400 with a 13" stock converter. Left from an 800rpm idle and won lots of races. When I have tried to share this info on various Pontiac sites, it has not been received well at all. Many say that was old school technology which won't work now. They say that the modern grinds are so good that they would not benefit from Rhoads lifters. One well known Pontiac engine builder told me to stop recommending Rhoads lifters, because nobody had used them in 30 years. I finally got kicked off of that site. I've posted your articles about Rhoads, as well as several of Cliffs articles about 'em. But some guys just have their minds made up that Rhoads don't work today, regardless of what anybody says. I just tell 'em that they've worked great for me for a long time and we've got lots of wins to prove it. They're too late to change my mind now ! Thanks for listening ! |

Fun!
I know the guy(s) from the "Singlefinger Speed Shop". This artwork is a good fit for them. (I'll let you guess which "finger" they are referring to). K

Sorry to post a message here in Test/tune. I neglected to remove it after verifying it would look OK after a correct post in the Lobby on 11/11/2014.

Yeah, I like it just like it is and it's not even finished yet. His drawings/paintings seem to capture the 'spirit' of the cars rather than just the technically correct outlines of the subjects.
