The two manifolds should be the same. The LS1 used the LS6 manifold beginning in 2001.

Default LS6 Intake

Rocky,

Thanks for the input. However, I was under the impression that the Corvette had a different manifold than the GTO, in 2004. That manifold was the LS6 as compared to the LS1 manifold on the GTO.

Am I wrong?

The 2004 GTO had a cable actuated throttle body while the Vette had a electronically controlled TB. Otherwise, it's the same, so you should be good to go from a performance standpoint.

LS6 intake is basically the same as the LS2. It's an upgrade for the LS1. You'll probably have better luck on the ls1tech forums.

If you're speaking strictly in performance upgrades, then the LS2 and LS6 manifolds may be similar, but the LS2 manifold has a larger diameter TB and is shaped a bit differently.

Yes Rocky, I was speaking of performance. Thanks.

Here is an article comparing the LS1 and LS6 intakes and an aftermarket one.

Thanks. I thought that's what you meant but wanted to clarify.

And OP, Rocky is correct your '04 GTO already has what is essentially an LS6 intake. I always forget that being an LS2 guy....
