Not "Pontiac" related but relevant to topic.
I've seen many reports that oil temps must be over 212 degrees..My GMC has a oil temp gauge and even towing it nevers goes over 195/200 degrees. I don't think getting to the boiling point is needed as long as the temps are high enough to steam off condensation.
