I really like the new F8 green, looks like Verdero green. If we bought a Daytona that’s the color I wanted. I also like Plum Crazy but the wife said no way

What did an Air Force Fighter jet do for speed in 1965.......and what do they do now ? No comparison eh ?

What did a factory performance car do in 2005? 13’s with a good driver and tires? People are running 10’s in these cars with good tires.

To say these cars are anything less than exceptional is absurd. I wasn’t going back 50 years- hell I bet you couldn’t find anything on par with this 5 years prior (2010).

I have a SRT Durango. 392 with 475 NA horsepower. It's my daily driver. Love the AWD, how fast it is, the brakes, and the utility.

The widebody look is definitely more awesome...
Sorry to say it, but that's 2019.

Fair enough, but the GTO weighed less, and there is something tangibly different about the rawness of pre-smog muscle vs late model "cushy" examples - which is why I mentioned hp to weight ratios.
Believe it or not hp to weight ratios are legit...

I have a 2009 Torred 5.7 R/T 6 speed manual. Only 35 K miles so far, but a great car, fun to drive and get 26-28 mpg on the highway.

This isn't quite right. First year for the wide body was 2018. The redeye is new for 2019, but you can't get it in a manual.

hmm, my bad.
I though the widebody was exclusive to the 2018 Demon;
I know there are a couple ways to get it on 2019 models...

to me, not really a wide body. Looks like a bolt on wide body. I've seen a few that look really b/a, the fender should be seamless. Bolt on fenders are for early Broncos. With that said I wouldn't turn a good deal down on one.

Nice to see some Mopar owners other than me on this GREAT Pontiac site!
No Hellcat, and I like all of the sensations that come with old school engines and cars.
I rebuilt the 421 Tripower in my wife's 65 GTO, with additional performance and longevity as the goals. My 70 Roadrunner is a V-code (440 6bbl) so as far as I'm concerned that means it will ALWAYS have 3x2 of "something" feeding the fuel and air, whether it is the 3 Holley 2bbl carbs or 3x2 throttle body injectors. Same for our GTO.
The point is that for those 2 cars, old school engines is the ticket.
I would love to put a Hellcrate or Hellephant engine in an old school Mopar, but the ideal candidate for either of those 2 engines for me would be a 70 Satellite converted into a Superbird clone, with as advanced a suspension system front and rear as is available in the aftermarket, and a 5 or 6 speed standard transmission with a rear end gear that would give good acceleration but allow for a 200+MPH top speed.
THAT is what I would want a Hellcrate or Hellephant engine for.
As far as the OP's question, many people I know use their supercharged Challenger and Charger cars as daily drivers.

Glad to read the good reviews on the Chrysler Go Fast cars. Always wondered if they were sprint / short lived cars

or dependable cars.
