If there is a car that can, it's this one.

The guy who bought Bob’s car is now selling it at Indy.

Buys and flips Cars faster than a dolphin.

Didn't even know that Bob no longer owned it.
The pictures didn't look very West Virginny'ish though, so ... first clue was there.

Highest octane known to exist didn't sound like a BWB comment either.

Highest ‘octane’ is probably an autocorrect error and is probably referencing the score/ rating from the TA nationals. It truly is a stunning car.

Well, it’s out....I hated to sell the Black Car, but it made the show circuit and I enjoyed having it as a trailer queen as long as I could. I didn’t advertise that it sold in February as I felt that bragging rights belonged to the buyer. I’m surprised he’s flipping it and hope he get’s a super-sonic price. He’ll need to because I’m fairly certain the price I received was a record for a non-SD, non-RAIV second gen with the probable exception of Adrian.

Octane should be option.

This car is being sold buy the same seller.

As Judge273 he’s quite the flipper.

Thanks for the heads-up on the current events Bob.

i remember a thread on here about that Blue Formula 400 being on eBay not long ago.

On a side note, the Alaskan Formula - Adriatic Blue 455-HOHO Auto - eclipsed the Invoice/Options of the BlackWidow by $190.
Without a Posi-Axle or a Special Paint charge.

28 opts @ $5686 vs 25 opts @ $5496

And another Special Paint Canadian 4spd eclipses both of those
@ 33 options and $6016
Think it was Black too ?

I'd still rather have your old car though, its clean and shiny

BVZ - That window sticker is for the Black Car. Add Z49 Canadian Equipment and it’s 34 options. Thanks for posting it.

Here you go Bob.

The 2-pager below was the actual correct version of a Canadian window sticker for the black car. As you may recall, Canada didn't have a "Munroney Law" since that was unique to the U.S. So the U.S. version of a sticker above would not be accurate.

$6,384.96 is what I got with my research of the Canadian records.

I created this off of a pattern from a 1972 Corvette that was delivered in Canada back in 72, which was photographed by an enthusiast at the time.

WtF

i thought "this" Silver Spring, Maryland invoice was your car.
And the Canadian was someone else's.

So the record is straight again
BlackWidow was from Canada and blows them all away on Content and Cost
-- very sorry for my mistakes

The U$D w/s version is the fairest comparison on money.
I didn't count the Canadian anti-freeze as an option on purpose - it's un-american

The Silver Springs car is not Bob's black car.

Bob is still King!

And from what I recall from my research, the Canadian stickers were actually in US dollars back then.

For REAL ! old age is gonna be rough

I've got GM of Canada and a Feb 1975 Sales Agreement on that car too.
But it just didn't click the right way

Canadian Dealers got lower cost than USA Dealers , and they had to pay GM/PMD in U$D.
I wouldn't know about how the Canadians charged their consumers - but it would have been excessive rip-off if Canadian Consumers paid higher MSRP, and had to pay that in U$D value on top of that also.
While the Dealers were getting discounted totals - without any destination charges.

whoo-weee that was some heavy stroking if so.

But if a 41 option car pops up that sold in Mobile, Alabama for 6300 - i think the U$D W/S would be the better gauge between them. Then tack the same destination charge to both examples to level it out - and see where the dust settles.

I'll try to remember to make a post on that 41 option car - after i find it in a tobacco barn or a cow pasture for $200.

That was the crazy thing about Canada not having a similar Munroney type law that required them to disclose specific prices. The local Canadian GM divisions could type in any prices they wanted on the Canadian window stickers and often did.

Saw many Canadian Stickers in the 70's .Steve is correct about pricing, they packed it on, regardless of the current Exchange rate, or the Illegal Moosehead beer racket !

Yes, The Maryland car was black. Bob's car was black, and the one that the engineers at Pontiac Division built for their new exec who was thinking about killing off the Firebird in 1972 was black (though its data plate actually has silver "14" as the paint code). The story goes is that the new exec only drove black cars. So when they heard rumors that he wanted to kill the Firebird, they made him a well optioned car (automatic) with 28 options. He liked it so much, he forgot about killing the Firebird.

Here's the Maryland car.

It's sorta too bad that fellow didn't follow through on the eBay auction of the Black 72 4spd Trans Am.
You guys remember that car , right.

Once it went a-buzz on here and he caught wind that he had the only Factory Black 70-73 TA known to exist - he decided not sell it and ended the auction.

It would have harvested some Tall Green
