Thanks to you both, I am familiar with SMS, they are a bit pricey. A quote from SMS for the door panels was included in the paperwork with the purchase of the wagon, almost $1,000, but the mock up does look nice!

I'll take pictures of mine ...done in 2004 maybe...$800 for 4 ...so $1000 ish now is not bad. They look brand new and are correct. They are (or were) located in Portland OR when I did mine. Wait is like 12 months ...such is life.

I believe he would need to find 63-63 windshield garnish moldings. 61-2 had curved vent glass.

Yes 63-64 moldings are different from 61-62. And a Safari would need molding from any car with a true B pillar. 2 or 4 dr ht is different and conv are different again.

Thanks to you both for the garnish molding info, if I read you correctly, any sedan (2 or 4 dr) A pillar garnish molding will work?

Yes - that's the way I read the parts book. I can certainly understand why convertibles are done different. But I was surprised that the hardtop styles were different than the sedans and wagons.

Looking at pieces for a 4-dr sedan on ebay, they don't look correct. The mounting hole at the base of the windshield is in a different spot from the one original piece that came with the car. It appears the moldings are wagon specific unless the seller on ebay has them incorrectly identified, which is possible!

Wagon is supposed to be the same as 2 and 4 dr sedans. 4873364 RH and 4873365 LH. But a lot of stuff on e-bay is not identified corre4ctly. Isn't that caveat emptor (sp) or some other legal term. Let the buyer beware!

Have you tried Frank's Pontiac in California?

If you haven't already checked with them, California Pontiac Restorations (CPR) can be a good source for parts. If you can't find a part on their website, call them - not all of their stock is on the website. http://www.pontiacparts.net
