Default What bench seats interchange with 65 Tempest convertable

I know that 64-67 A body all interchange. The pickins are slim for those seat. around Kansas City. I was curios if some years of Nova might fit. Or anything else that has been used along the way. Does a 69 Chevelle fit?

Thanks

Greg

64-72 A bodies are the same as far as mounting. Internal differences started in 69 with the headrests and then 71-72 with the back rest. (Different design prevents using upholstery from earlier cars)

Correct me if I'm wrong but 4 door cars didn't have a split front seat?

I've read on some Chevelle boards about guys using G body and 80's B-body power seats in the old A bodies... Might be worth a search.

We went through this last year. As mentioned, a 64-72 seat from any A body will bolt in. The difference is that the '68 and up seats were slightly wider, I believe about 2". We had a seat from a '68 Buick Skylark in our '66 Tempest for the longest time. It worked fine, didn't seem too wide. But when it came time to re-upholster, we had to source a 64-67 seat for the PUI covers, or we would have had to get custom upholstery made.

Problem with he Strato benches is they are heavy beasts. Their styling doesn't agree with every A-body either.

Are you looking for a split back bench? Is that what was in the convertibles?

Same split bench seat for coupe, hardtop or convertible. At least for a '66 Tempest Custom.
