Default 69-70 fuel sending units solution

Anyone here who has a 69 or 70 big Pontiac (except the wagon) knows about the problem with the fuel sending units on these cars. Basically the float gets stuck and no one sells replacements or offers a rebuild service. The 67-68 has the same issue but there are sometimes replacement sending units offered on the market. The 69-70 cars can't use the 67-68 unit because the 69-70 gas tank is shallower and the opening diameter is quite a bit larger.

I believe I have found a way to get them working again without chopping off the can and welding in a typical swing arm system.

If anyone has some defective sending units for 69-70 I'd be interested in them to do a bit more testing. If so leave a note here or PM me if you prefer.
