Default How goofy (or not) does a P205 - 14 tire look on a '66

Have a lead on an affordable set of tires, wondering if it looks too teeny. It's just to get a roller ready for sale. Thanks !

You have to worry about more than looks. Check the load rating on the 205's and make sure it is at least close to the original tires. You don't want to over load the tires and blow one.

My first car - 69 Cutlass, needed new tires. Tire store said radial equivalent was 205-70-14. Way too small; should have been 215-75-14 at a minimum.

A lot of people are overlooking this part. I wouldn't
sweat it if the price is right. Not many people stick
with the tires found on a project car anyways.

They’ll be fine.

Yes a 215/75-14s would be better but one size smaller 205/75-14 isn’t unsafe and should look okay. Since they’re just for rollers grab ‘em if they’re cheap.

When I first bought my ‘64 Tempest it was shod with 195/75-14s on the original 14x5” wheels and I drove it that way for over 40k miles.
