Pretty cool you hung onto this car for so long and the transformation it has been through. I didn't realize it was an original 454/T400. My 2nd car that I bought in the late 80s was identical, I always thought the swivel buckets were cool. Mine was probably a 16 second car.

Did a little photo shoot today.

2024 marks the 60th Anniversary of the introduction of the GTO; as such the M1 Concourse will be hosting a special event on the Friday of the Dream Cruise weekend.

The images taken today will be used to promote this special event.

A little cloudy and chilly (41 degrees) but no rain, thankfully.

By way of update: we were on vacation in Montana the two weeks prior to Woodward. We were hustling to make it but didn't get back in time.

(I hear we didn't miss much. Weather was kinda crappy).

But - I did see this nice award from the event and there is a sweet '65 on there, so I guess we did make it in spirit.

Sorry Tenn - I'm not ignoring you -

Not a lot of running around. The GP bears the brunt of most of the ice cream runs and hardware store trips.

But - one of the classes I run is called "True Street", which requires a 30 mile cruise to confirm streetability and then three back to back passes. No changes, can't open the hood; the only thing you are allowed to do between the cruise and the passes is drop the tire pressure. Awards are given for fastest overall, 2nd fastest, and then closest average to 9.0/10.0/11.0/12.0/13.0/14.0 and 15.0.

So - for sure 6 times a year x 30 miles = 180 miles plus.
