Am I missing something... 74 TA
Is there a trim piece between the lower valance and the front fender or do I need to mind the gap?
Seems like something should be there... Sent from my Surface Duo using Tapatalk

There is no filler piece and there should be no gap.
The valance looks out of position( down and forward) of where it should be

I think so...
So I just need to loosen then move the valence some more or could the fender be out of whack on both sides? Thanks Sent from my Surface Duo using Tapatalk

Yes, the easy thing to try, is loosen and move the ends of the valence.
After that, if there is still a gap. Your bumper and header panel look to be tight to the fender so they are likely not the issue. Either the valence is out of position or it may have been damaged at some point. You may need to remove it and check where it is mounted to see if there is anything bent. Maybe the valence itself curves up in the center and hangs down at the ends.

Is there an aftermarket valence available for this girl?

Ames do a fibreglass reproduction - no experience with it personally;
https://www.amesperf.com/parts/26293/ You should be able to close the gap up on yours and get it fitting tighter to the front fender - most of the adjustment relies on the bumper being aligned properly as the valance 'hangs' from the bumper.

Had the same problem. The L shaped brackets that the bumper is attached to are attached to the frame horns on each side with two flair head and flair nuts that cinch into the sides of the frame when tightened. The frame horns have slotted holes to move fore and aft. I removed the valence and than you have access to these bolts as I remember? Also check the two bolts on each side that the bumper attaches to the brackets. Mine had been shimmed when what was needed was to adjust at the frame horn bolts.

Thanks sir...that is likely where I went wrong - I also may have finally found replacement bumpers so I need to open her up again anyways
