You GMC truck guys...
A '58 truck owner is looking for a complete Hydra Matic trans & it appears that the truck trans is different than the car. i have a spare '57 car trans but this thing looks quite different.
He is also looking for '58 Grill parts. What can you tell us? Check out his trans photo. ( He is in Australia, maybe that explains the photo)

The Pontiac-powered GMC trucks with automatics ('55-59) all used DualRange Hydramatics (almost identical to '55 & early '56 Pontiac cars; the main difference being a slanted mounting & pan in the cars). In mid-'55 Pontiac cars changed to the Dual-Coupling HydraMatic, but GMCs did not.

The GMC trucks through 1959 continued to use Dual-Range Hydra-Matics that Pontiac and Olds used into 1956. But the slant pan versions were not necessary in the truck frames. Have your buddy check out the forum at www.oldgmctrucks.com
