The old man bought his Ciera after he totaled his ‘83 Omega. That Omega’s electrical system fried and left him stranded on the side of the road - on the day he bought it! (He special ordered it - Same day it came off the truck from the plant.)

And he would go on to buy another new Olds in 91 - they kept getting worse!

Our 81 Cutlass my dad bought new was junk from day 1. AC never worked, leaked, under powered and never ran good.

However- my friend that I got my 86 GN from bought it new the same time his dad bought a cutlass. He said that the Olds was by far a better car. Interior, sound deadening, squeaks…. Just better. The Grand National part of the Buick was great, but the Regal part of it sucked. Even with a pretty easy 60k miles on it the car seems to rattle more than it should.

possession is 9/10ths of the law. If you can get it out of his yard and on your own trailer without getting shot .......

I have never heard of this model a 1956 Plymouth Powell Sport wagon. Interesting but a bit unattractive IMO, Supposedly the 2 round chrome caps on the back are covers for long compartments to haul sections of pipe or fishing rods.

Powell was an independent company. They built their own bodies and then used old 1941 Plymouth chassis and engines they got from junkyards. I'm not sure what their plans were when the junkyards ran out of cars to salvage.

Powell Crosley was the man behind Crosley automobiles, appliances, etc. Wonder if that is a tie in?

The company was founded by two brothers, Hayward and Channing Powell, so there's probably no connection to Crosley.
