I think that's a pretty good price. My 7000 was about $1300 and change after a discount. I may have been able to save the tax had l not bought from Home Depot.

I paid $1400 including tax for my 5000 a month or so ago, and that was a couple hundred less than I saw it other places. So yeah, around $1100 is a great deal. Heck, I was happy with $1400 ... but then the wife paid for it

Actually, I'll have to correct myself as I paid closer to $1,500 for my 7000 after tax, delivered. The 5000 was like $1,300 at that time. So yeah, I'd say it's a good price.

Agree cannot buy a real lift for anything close to a large (more like 2+). Black Friday is coming soon.

I paid $1025.00 for mine over 3 years ago. With today's inflated pricing, $1199 with the 4 pinch weld blocks is a decent deal.

When I first went to place my online order with Costco it stated out of stock item. Went back in after work and was able to place an order for one. 1,274.99 with tax.

Can't come soon enough. Need to do rear wheel bearings on my '69 GTO.

We have a '72 Camaro - same thing as your Firebird underneath.

Using the pinch weld blocks and locating them behind the front wheel wells and in front of the rear wheel wells works just fine.

See photo below.

Received my quickjack yesterday. There was no shipping or deliver email from Costco. Fedex just showed up with it.

Assembled it today and brought it back to where I am living and where I have the GTO.

Figured I'd give it a try on my daily driver 2015 Ford Edge. Took a few minutes to get the blocks lined up on the pinch wells but overall not to hard to do. It is pretty solid even using three blocks.

Next is to get the GTO up in the air to pull the rear axels for bearing replacement.

Overall I am pretty happy with this purchase.

" That's why I didn't get a scissor lift, even though they usually lift higher;" Mine has 34" clear between the ramps. Don't know of any tranny that wide (most GM bellhousings are 20" max).

Mine is NLA, Equivalent now is an Atlas Kwik Bay 7,000 Lb. Mid Rise Lift. Might get a little smaller one today, have no need to lift over 4700 lbs.

Still loving mine, just tonight I was down doing some interior work and noticed a small rust hole that I somehow missed. Car was already up on the QJ ... easy access to the bottom side to check out what needs to be done. Keeping a car in restoration lifted up that 20" or so at all times makes it so easy to shift from one job to another. I used to have to sort of schedule UP work or DOWN work, now it's no big deal make the height changes.

i've got the 5000lb quick jack and i like it.

How are you folks supporting the nose of the car?
I've got a '71 GTO with the endura. I've always dreaded jacking the front end because while jacking one side at a time, the frame twists a little bit and sometimes enough to crack the paint on the endura.
No twisting with the quick jack, but the nose, engine, wheels and front suspension are hanging there. That might be most of the weight of the car. The gap between the hood and bumper grows tremendously while on the QJ.
I once left another '71 on jackstands for several months and i think it sagged after that.

I plan on doing a disc brake conversion soon, so my car will probably be elevated for a while.

On my 72 I haven’t noticed any gap change , I’ll have to take a look. I have a 5 year old 5000 model and using the lowest safety catch it keeps the tires about 2 inches off the ground, car is always up on the quick jack when I’m not driving it. I put the jack about an in or so behind the front tires before jacking it up, catches the frame right in front of the crossmember.

Look at this way ... being up on the QJ for months my help to un-do the decades of the weight of the car resting on the front wheels and the frame sagging the other way

I have my front blocks pretty much right on the heavily reinforced front "turn-in" on the frame, don't see any sagging when it goes up.

A car frame should flex without issues, just because it flexes doesn't mean it's bending. Takes many, many years for something like a frame to take a "set" .... in this case any set would go away the minute the car was lowered to the ground.

Wondering .... anyone start their car while up on a QJ ? Would come in handy for doing some driveline and brake tests.

I have. After changing oil, but before lowering vehicle, start to insure no leaks, no drips, no errors....
