Just in case any of you forgot there was another fully CNC'd (fully bad-ass) cylinder head option out there.

I dont mean to hijack David's thread, but I have not seen much information posted about the new pro-ports with reguards to proformance and price (price of a finished head that would make xxxx HP). If you have CNC options for thease heads, maybe post up a new thread with more information about them? I am sure other would like to know more too.

Sorry. There was no intent to hi-jack, I thought we were having a combustion chamber discussion. If you want to know more about the cnc pro-ports available, just visit Speier Racing Heads

Sorry, I didnt mean to come off rude if I did.

Nice web site! Love the colors of your test car. That is one stout engine you built for the EMC.

And David, I think the best way to remove the dust is by driving it!

Is yours a street/strip car? Or track only?

That's got to be smaller than 52 cc. At least it looks smaller than mine and mine was 46 cc with 6cc from valve dish to get weight out of the valve.

All information is always welcome!

Chris its always been a streetcar that goes to the track. The kids loved it when I would pick them up from school in it.

Whats with the little "diddy" in the chamber at 6 oclock on the intake valve. Thought it might be
Just the intersection of 2 radial sweeps from the cutter, but then thought it might have some secret 10hp purpose lol

Flow bench trick, 7cfm on that head. Normally I don't do that chit but I thought........there is really no fuel at that part of the chamber and its not in the way of any fire so I let it fly. Doubt I will do it again.

So who has some shots of the BES EMC chamber that ran pump gas at 15:1? That's what I want to see. My guess is it doesn't look much different that what has been shown.

Thanks to Speier and Marcella for sharing some good chamber info, it's appreciated.

So why aren't people smoothing the CNC chambers to reduce surface area by 2x for better efficiency? Detontation control on pump gas?

Aaron, my guess is the grooves help with the swirl.

No, The grooves from the tool path just don't matter. IMO

The finish on my whole head is a cutter finish done by hand not cnc. IMO polishing is just a waste of time.

Damn that's impressive.

The grooves have to influence the outer boundary of air, giving at least a small amount of direction. It may be nothing, or it may be an unintended consequence that proves positive.
