My new favorite thread! Have you considered Rallye Wheels?

It should definitely be the keg wagon at Poncho get-togethors.....

THANKS!
ya i have a set of 15x7 that need blasting, and i have a nicer set of 15x6 that are nice driver bolt on quality. was just going to run the original wheels, i painted gloss white, and throw on the hubcaps. the caps don't go all the way to the edge, so there would be a white ring showing. the problem is the d-shaft cost so much that i am putting off buying new tires right now. whitewalls on there now are usable but a little old.

You think the driveshaft price is bad, just hope you don't have ever have to replace the front windshield.

That's cool. And I can remember a time when noone would be caught dead with a station wagon let alone a hearse or ambulance. My how times have changed. There was a 72 ? maybe 73 Pontiac ambulance here in Southgate but I have'nt seen it in a while. I have two 1973 Vista Cruisers myself along with my 78 Catalina.

There is one like that in Regina Saskatchewan Canada...same color and everything, but not as good of shape, buddy was driving it around over a year ago, lately I haven't seen it. Also there is a black 69 Hearse in Winnipeg Manitoba Canada, 428 YH car rusted in a backyard, buddy was asking 3000$ for it which was too much in my oppinion. Didn't all these Superior sleds came with 428s ? Great find !

WELL IT RUNS, WE FIXED THE SIREN WIRING, SOLVED TO TURN SIGNAL ISSUES, FIXED THE REAR VENTING FAN IN ROOF, TOPPED OFF FLUIDS.............THEN WE BLEW THAT GOOFY VOLT REG. WHAT A PAIN IN THE A**.
My friend's brother, who taught automotive electrical systems in vocation school, is going to solve this problem with more modern parts i guess. we're stumped, and this pc. is hard to find. ANYONE HAVE ONE FOR SALE? Anyway, he feels he can solve the problem and needs the extra money, so next saturday this will all be done. He says it's no problem, easily fixed. We'll see. Meanwhile i have to fix the heater core, of corse it popped!
Engine sounds good though, belts and alternator was working as they should, steering pump wasn't howling, trans went into r and d. Cool thing its that the horn buttons activate the siren when the switch for the siren is on, when off it activates the horns. Thought that was cool. All emergency lights are working properly. Added a trans cooler and a 4 core radiator.

deadsleds,
Just wanted to say Nice find on your 69 High Top Superior Ambulance. You can still get the windshield for your ambulance. It's commercial glass and is still available from Pilkington. Pilkington is the classic division of Libby Owens Ford or LOF as we all know it by. They will even date code the windshield for you if you want. But here's the kicker it ain't cheap. The windshield for my 71 Hearse was around $600.00 from them plus shipping and then installation from a glass company. It took me a while to find a glass company that willing to bother with Pilkington but I was told they were very easy to deal with by my glass company. The bill from the glass shop was over $1,100.oo all said and done but I was lucky because I had 100% coverage from Hagerty and they paid for it all. The windshield got broke coming back fron the car show at Hot August Nights in Reno and it was covered 100% by Hagerty.

hey t.weber, thanks for the info, but i am just going to leave the cracked one in for now. can't spend 1100 on a windshield, just not worth it for me. it's good to know they are available though.
