Pics of the Lucerne Blue POST GTO in question .
Anyone know the story on this Car ? Anyone seen the VIN # with X ? i am pretty sure i grabbed these pix on here , years ago , in a thread about ducktail spoilers - iirc . It may belong to a member , or a member at least took the pix. Maybe someone remembers something |

This is the WildGreen , Bench Seat , 4spd POST GTO i was referencing.
Is this the same car as the one owned by John #2 , in the magazine article ? Is this John #2 in the photo ? Could anyone scan the magazine article and post it here ? |

I took & posted the blue ones Todd - took them at a Barbarino Pontiac show years ago.
I honestly don't know if the car was legit or not, I thought I knew who's car it was but recently peeked under a cover in my buddy's garage & realized it wasn't his.

I received the July issue of Hemmings Muscle Machines this weekend. Not about my Revere Silver car (Don is supposed to publish a article about that car in Poncho Perfection someday). Going back to the Hemmings Muscle Machines article about John Mounts' Wilderness Green Post car;"wow, that is a really great story"! I admire the lifetime hunt for parts and patience it took to revive that car. Great article!
Regarding the Lucerne Blue car, it is currently listed for sale on Baltimore Craigslist. The ad says the "HO drive line was added". https://baltimore.craigslist.org/cto...570633959.html |

Yep , same Blue car.
2-tone door panels and all. Great detective work , and helluva coincidence it is listed for sale. Barnaby Jones would be impressed how quick that got wrapped up ! Down to 4 and 1 hopeful longshot |

Is that green one the one that was at Musclepalooza several years ago and then again up at the GTOAA at Saratoga Springs in 2008?

That picture i posted of it - if it is the same actual car - looks like it was on a GTO showfield . I stole that picture from the internet - probably from here.
When i hold my mouse over it - it says - taken on July 7 2012 with an iPhone 4s @ 1:07pm damn what a tattle-tell ! Maybe after the guys get finished reading their new magazine , they will post up some scans or pics from the article . |
