I installed the frame braces as well as a sway bar (not pictured) from the DSE kit. Over all this is a very easy kit to install and the quality is excellent,

With the suspension, brakes and steering links and steering box installed, I was able to put the tires back on and was able to set it back down on all four wheels! I was real happy to seeing the frame sitting on all fours!

One of my latest investments was in a set of Quick Jacks. I saw th ads on Tv and looked into them. Turns out they have been awesome. A million times better than using jack stands, and very very stable to lift the car and also while working on the car. They are easy to use and set up. For me I thought it was a great investment for me. It takes about 20 seconds to lift the car up. It is a really great quality product and I love having them. Very highly recommended!

In the next coming week, I am going to install the motor and Transmission and exhaust. I am replacing the 350 2barrell with a 455. I have had the motor on the Dyno and it put out 430hp and 507 ft/lbs torque. I am using the Holley Sniper EFI and a March Serpentine belt set up. The transmission is a 200r4 which was built by Art Carr at California Performance Transmission. For exhaust I’m using 2.5” system from Ram Air restoration exhaust. I love being at this stage of the project because it is great to see it all coming back together,

Are you planning to keep it white with the black interior?

Thanks for posting!
I’m planning on keeping the black interior, but I do plan on painting it other than white. The original color was Paladium Silver, however I believe I am going with Atomic Orange. Still have a few weeks to decide but that is what I believe I’m going with.

Default 1972 Pontiac LeMans Convertible

That looks like a fun project! So, much good looks in a 72 T-41 convertible.

Silver with a blue sword stripe or Lucey Blue with a silver sword GT stripe should be considered..

That looks awesome. I'm in the same process on the same car. Mine is painted '07 Lamborghini pearl orange. A great color. Kind of a creamy orange (like a dreamsicle). I like the look of your updated frame.

I got the motor and transmission installed today. The motor went in pretty easy with no big issues. It is much easier to install with the body off the frame, which isn’t very surprising. I’ll start working on exhaust and fuel ines next.

I installed the March Serpentine belt system. It is a pretty good setup but does require some firing and shimming for alignment. It isn’t that big of deal to do. Overall I am pretty happy with it. I am also getting the Ram Air air cleaner set up as well, I have to make a few changes for the Sniper EFI . Mainly just adding a spacer to raise the air cleaner 1/2” to have just a bit more clearance with the fuel lines. I’m gonna fabricate a bracket for Lokar cables for the trans kick down and throttle cable.

Great looking set up!

Interested in more info about the rear frame braces? Does that help reduced frame twist on a convert?

What plug wire looms did you use, I like the lay out.

Keep up the good work!

I got the body back on the frame and it went back on pretty well. I sprayed the inside with Lizard skin , which is pretty easy to use. The body work was all done and sprayed with primer. I also had the underbody sprayed with Satin Black also. Right now I am installing the electrical and a new Heat/AC unit from Old Air Products. I am using the Classic Upgrade kit from American Auto wire which really seems to be a really nice kit!
