Default Need some advice from those "in the know" on 1970 GTO's..

https://minneapolis.craigslist.org/h...122267991.html

Too much? I know the rot issue... If most of the original stuff is there...? Maybe a good resto project? Maybe 6-K? Less? I dig the Atoll Blue...

Just want some "experienced" opinions before I call and send someone out to look at it.

Sort of looks like it just needs dustless media blasting and a paint job.
(with all that a bare metal/substrate paint job entails)

Find out where it was born and raised, it doesn't look like a northern body.

Depending on eye exams and test drive results, it could be worth his asking price.
It has good things in its favor
Good Luck with it

I'd think that car around here would sell very fast at that price.

Looks like a great start to something very cool.

Im in agreement with the above posts. Just the fact its intact and pretty original makes it a fair price. So many times they are partially dismantled...

Even considering it will need lower quarters and fenders (at a minimum)?

Contact member GTO.PAUL for honest review. If you have to have it for what it is/was, it's worth the asking price.

That's the problem with buying a car to restore. You will never be in the money so just forget about that. You are buying the restoration experience. I agree $12k that call will sell all day long.

If you put that car on ebay with a $12k buy it now it would be gone in 1/2 hour or maybe less.
