Just got a 72 TA that needs some TLC
What holds the Air filter base to the carb on the shaker scoop?
it appears it needs a brkt to hold it to the carb.
Also some one cut off the snorkles to the base
Are these available?

The shaker air cleaners attach like any normal air cleaner. There is a stud in the center of the carb, an air filter top and a wingnut to tighten it down.

Nobody is reproducing the snorkles but other GM cars used the same ones. They can be removed by drilling out the spot welds and transfering it to the T/A air cleaner base.
