I'm changing the TH350 crossmember to my 72 Formula and adding a street/strip TH400.

I was wondering if the the TH400 one has to be moved back or just leave it like it is in the picture? There are no holes if I do have to move the TH400 crossmember. I can't remember if it's a direct fit.

Thanks for any help, greg

Looks to me like you already have a TH400 cross member in there. The TH350/manual trans cross members have the trans mount pad on the opposite side.

This dirty crossmember is what was originally on the subframe. I bought an aftermarket TH400 crossmember. It was blasted and POR-15 was applied like the rest of the car. I just thought it needed to be adjusted for the TH400 tranny. I guess I'll hook up the engine & tranny and set it in. I have it all apart so it should be pretty simple.

here's a shot of what's going on. I'm installing a d-side floorpan and trying to clean the underside. A rotisserie would be nice.

If I were you I would get that car off the cement blocks. The way they are is not safe. The local racing legend was just killed when his race car fell on him using those blocks.
Check here www.ronnieweedon.com
He was 72 years old and still winning races at the local dirt tracks. It never should have happened.

Those cinder blocks can crumble without warning, replace them with wood blocks before you work under the car again.

Don't give your life for your hobby.
