How do I remove the trunk lid rods on my 72 Formula? I have one that's broken and the other one is highly rusted. It looks kind of hard to figure out. I want to use Por-15 in that area like this rest of the interior.

Thanks for any help, greg

I replaced mine about 15 years ago. If I remember correctly: first unhook them from the center clip. Then grab the outer end with pliers and carefully unhook them.
