Info needed on a 1967 GTO fuel gauge wire mounting location exiting floor pan?
Does anyone have any info or pictures on how the wire from the dash for the fuel gauge mounts when it exits the floor pan in front of the rear axle? Seems to be long enough to follow the fuel line right to the sender. I did hook the ground for the sender in the right location, found the old wire still attached to the floor pan.
No idea how the factory mounted it. Thanks |

From the '67 Service Manual
Section 8 of your service manual you'll see Fig 8-8.
Looking close you can see the factory plug on pin connector use for the gauge wire. IIRC there are two or three metal tabs tacked to the pan to tuck/secure the wire into.

Do you have a diagram of the wire running from the floor pan in front of the axle to the sender? No sure how the factory did it, was it fasten to the fuel line? Thanks

There were 2 clips welded to the bottom floor pan that held the wire.
