Someone might want them for a show car or one used for fairground cruises.
I sold a set of General Dual 90s (produced from ‘62 -‘66) with triple pinstripe white walls that were close to 50 years old at the time for $600, the buyer knew full well that I was selling them as ‘display only’ tires. I was happy to recover something to help offset what I paid for the wheels.

Well the size is right. Anyone that wants era correct custom tires don't want 14's. There is a market for NOS tires that are usable and stored properly. I sold a NOS set of Goodyear Speedway redlines for $1200.00. These were 14's but in this case 14" redlines are highly desireable for muscle car restorations and the ones I had were stored in a house closet, kept at room temperature and void of any UV rays so they were as they were the day they were made.
Likewise, I am always looking out for 15" Goodyear Eagle GT's for one of my cars and have seen them (when I see them) as high as $1200.00 a set. Custom tires are a little harder to sell because the desirability just isn't out there like it is for stock, original car tires, but there are people out there. I would say start at $550.00 and see where it goes. You can always go down, you can't go up. But I think your biggest problem will be shipping. The cost just might kill any deal. It has for me in the past. |
