Keyway centerline location
Looking to located the centerline of the keyway or even an edge relative to TDC. This would be relative to the crank and not cam. In other words, if you were to machine the keyway and had TDC (0 deg) confirmed, what degree of rotation would it be to line up the keyway centerline?

Not sure if this is what your looking for but when the crank is at TDC the key is at approximately 2 o'clock on a Pontiac engine.

Why don't you just measure the angle on an existing harmonic balancer? And then measure a timing chain cover's TDC indicator and subtract the two?

Going to use a degree wheel and a long block I have on the stand. Hoping this info would be known to save some time. Seems is not truly known and understandable why its not. Need it fairly precise for the intended use of the info. Eyeballing it, its seems to be about 80 deg from 0.

80 degrees from the 'dot' on the crank?
(if crank gear was on)

Should have specified that was relative to the harmonic balancer indicators. Keyway seems to fall about 10 +/- deg before the 90 deg mark on the balancer.
