What kind of tension do you run on your blower belt? No I have never run a blower. I have install and adjusted tension on these kinds on belts with OHC setups.

Stan
I will ask again about belt tension.

Oh.....ok, I check it cold then I check it when it warms up.....its good in my book. Im understanding where you are going but there is no wear in those two bearings just the slight discoloration and it came right off with steel wool.
BTW.....im not ruling out anything right now.

Haven't you broken the snout off of that crank before?

I wouldnt worry about it. In my mind the crank sees more stress on number 1 and #5 from turning that that blower. For all those years that you ran it down the track you did fine .. But if it was me i'd change them bearings for some brand new ones. Then you wont have to think about a year or 2 down the road.

Have you recently increased the boost? My guess would be that you are just starting to lose the oil film thickness or exceeding the strength of the oil film, just on those bearings due to the belt loads, what oil and bearing clearances?

Maybe 1 lbs of boost more, as for bearing clearance I had to go to King standard x bearings for proper clearance......probably could have had more but the bearings have 2 years of racing on them.
