GTO George,
So tell me what any I missing here? I have been at the track and seen Jeff run. I would like to know what he basically has to do between rounds that is any different that what you basically have to do between rounds.

Ya, there are too many variables but I have had both sets on there with both cams. The 330's are wore out now and don't run near as good as they did back 5 or so years ago. This year when I had the 350's on the engine I have almost 12 lbs of vacuum at idle. When I put the 330's on it drops to 4 lbs of vacuum no other changes. I'll go look through my log books for some real info and post here in a bit.

What does it leak with each set of heads?

The best 18th mile pass with the 330's was back in 2013 at Indy in mine shaft air 280/284 cam and pretty much optimized tuning wise.
60' - 1.278
330' - 3.784
1/8th - 5.917
mph -114.77

The best 1/4 mile pass that same year at Norwalk was this one. I'm almost positive it went 9.38 the year before but I can't find the log books.
60' - 1.341
330' - 3.850
1/8th- 5.986
mph - 115.21
1000' - 7.842
1/4 - 9.424
mph - 142.15

I bought the 350's in 2016. I made 2 passes with the old cam in pretty good air. 1 footbrake pass and one transbrake pass. Both were almost identical with foot brake being a hair faster. Green track, first weekend they were open.
60- 1.3150
330' - 3.8180
1/8th - 5.9410
mph - 115.62

The next weekend put in the LSM cam in 276/286 and made a few passes with only the cam swapped. Air not as good but still not too bad.
60' - 1.2952
330' - 3.7962
1/8th - 5.9101
mph - 116.38

That's pretty much what it ran all year. I made 22 1/4 mile passes at Norwalk. Here is the best pass but air was not good (91 deg and humidity @ 48 %)
60' - 1.339
330' - 3.822
1/8th - 5.932
mph - 116.50
1000 - 7.762
1/4 - 9.315
mph - 144.84

The next year 2017 I advanced the cam a little and put a bigger carb on at some point. I also put the steel fenders back on it and it gained 40 lbs. Best 1/8th
60'- 1.364 (Back tires. Usually deduct a tenth) so 1.264
330' - 3.7251
1/8th - 5.8232
mph - 116.85

At Norwalk the weekend before that pass
60' - 1.317
330' - 3.779
1/8th - 5.872
mph - 117.35
1000' - 7.687
1/4 - 9.228
mph - 145.77

This year with the old 330 heads on the big engine with the LSM cam. I only ran it one weekend like this smaller carb back on:
60' - 1.3149
330' - 3.847
1/8th - 5.9928
mph - 114.52

(Disclaimer)Most of the 1/8th mile passes are at my home track and the 60's are usually about .03 faster than everywhere else. It's because the clocks are about 3' shorter than 60'. The rest of the timers are always the same as other tracks.

No idea. The 330’s were only on there temporarily. I wasn’t worried about it too much. I just needed to get through the next weekend till the good heads were fixed. The guides are loose, and they are leaking water at the rear head bolt up into the valve cover area. They are wore out and need to go to the machine shop to get fixed and freshened up. Probably run much better when I get them back.

Not sure how they are up there but Brown's Chicken blows away the Colonel in every way, shape and form.

Your reply sounds more like Paul had asked to see pictures of your ports or your cam card.
