odd interior in a SJ grand prix
I looked at a low miles SJ 455 GP today, I think the seller said it was a 72-73, he wasn't sure, the car has been in a climate controlled storage for over 15 years and is all original, it has black bucket seats with console and red carpet, the carpet looks factory. Was there such a thing as red carpet in a black interior?

If I'm not mistaken, 1973 was the first year that Pontiac started offering the two-tone interiors on certain models. A friends 73 Super Duty TA had the two-tone interior.

All of the interior is black, just the carpet is bright red, I'll look it over next week and post what I find.

My 73 455 formula has the tuxedo interior with red carpet. Was an option if I remember correctly you had 3 color choices for carpet.

Had a 74 Formula 400 RA with Black int with red seats.
I know at least 74-75 had unique interior combos available.

I'm not sure on the year, guessing 72 - 74, it does look like the last pictured that's posted though. I'm going to make an offer next week, if I end up with the car, I'll post some pictures of it. Thanks!
