Was the track it raced at Oxford Plains?
I raced there a handful of times in 1981-82.

Theres 2 tracks in maine,,,oxford and winterport. Winterport is more northern than oxford but they are both decent 1/8th mile tracks and both have been open a long time. Both have their own websites . The track that it ran at would probably be near whatever town you bought it out of. i raced a few times in winterport but mostly oxford from mid 80's to 2011.

I already tore it down, and it looks good. I'm surprised, but somehow it survived the neglect it took. Aside from needing a new belt, you could bolt it on and run it how it sits. I don't plan on doing that, but it would do it.

The blower will probably end up on a 70 455 I have sitting around. I already rested the blower on it to get the look. lol

I believe it was Winterport. Supposedly he drove it to the track, ran it whatever class he was in, and drove home. The seller claimed it did 88-90mph in the 1/8th way back in the day, which was respectable for the time period, especially with its air shocks and cheap traction bars, with 295-50s out back.

Well, it looks like it was built well as opposed to someone just throwing a huffer on.

That is really cool. Take a good look at the bottom of those shock towers...they tend to crack.

Great looking car! You'll have a ton of fun with it.

I have a 69 4-speed SCJ survivor. Still has its original exhaust system with the resonators. Small car + big engine = Huge grin every time I take it out!!

I like all car but I’ve had more fords. I currently have a 1990 mustang coupe with the 5.0 and 5 speed. Deff a fun car. It’s not the most powerful but the car weighs around 3K so it seems like a fast go kart.
