Default L.E.D. upgrade, specifically tail lamps

Has anyone found L.E.D. units that look like they ought to, but with increased brightness? Not very fond of the looks of the replacements that have a ton of elements arrayed on a circuit board, but would like better daytime visibility of brake lights and turn signals.

I used the Sylvania 1157 LED bulbs for my taillights. They are high quality and much different than many of the other ones on Amazon. They are only a bit brighter than a stock bulb but the instant on might get a bit more attention. Make sure you buy the red LEDs for taillights.

I also installed an aftermarket flasher that requires a connection to ground, which ensures a consistent flash rate regardless of load or bulb type.
