Default Canadian Functional Shaker 455 SD

I read an article which stated a few Canadian SD's came with a functional shaker. Does anyone have a copy of the order sheet?

Thanks,

My documents do not state whether it was a functional shaker or not. Greg

Maybe the WX3 calls out functional shaker, because I don't believe the WX3 was a code on US cars when looking at their shaker options. Or it could be a simple typo on my docs..

The WX3 is for the shaker hood?

It would be on the buildsheets of the SD's.
No special listing for just the scoop that I know of?

One thing, on the buildsheet, it shows in box 96 (I think) 073 - S on most I have seen for the 73 SD TA.
74 SD TA's have 073 - N on most I have seen.

What is different I don't know.

My California sold '73 SD is opted with the WX3. - R/A SHAKER HD. The shaker is non-functional, but the T/A's still needed a hood with a hole in it. That's what the WX3 should be for.

Okay good to know. My PHS was different than my Canadian docs. PHS was WS3, and the Canadian docs were WX3. I was unsure why they were different for any other reason than a typo.

Default Stock Head Gasket Thickness

I'm checking a couple specs on the Super Duty 455 and am curious if someone can give me the stock head gasket thickness? NHRA has it listed at .045, just need to confirm.

Thanks,

Default Canadian Functional Hood Scoops

No idea how accurate these articles are but here are the links to them. I would love to have a copy of a build sheet that shows these Canadian cars came with functional hood scoops. Looking to build a 455 SD for NHRA stock eliminator competition and a functional scoop would help in the power area.

The stock gasket should measure around .050" thick.

Were they "seasoning" them? Like they do with racing blocks by leaving them out in the weather for a few years to unstress the metal?
;-)

Will (tajunkman) and I came across an abandoned hoard of parts years ago and these were spotted there. Wish I knew the background. I did keep one as a souvenir.

Thanks,
Compressed thickness will be around .051. A new unused gasket will measure around .058.
