I offered before;
I might be able to help you out. How do I positively identify a post 1971 Pontiac coil bracket? I have at least two spares here.

'72 has a shorter standoff than the '73-4 unit. Pre-'72 had none as they bolted to throttle bracket.
Easiest way to ID is looking at the cut out of the standoff area.

I have three here that seem to fit the bill;
Can anyone tell me if there should be any stamped numbers on them? Looking at the top flange (the end where you see the screw head): Two "A" have 3/4" flange length where the nut secures it to the intake; The third one "B" has a slightly different shaped flange, that results in 1" flange length. Looking at the bottom flange (the end that the tightening screw end pokes through): "A" centre of screw to end of flange = 1" "B" centre of screw to end of flange = 1-1/4" no PM received.

I believe it connects to the rear most intake bot;
This bot should have a stus that the bracket is slipped over, and held down with a nut; Yes that's a condenser mounted to it. I believe that the service manual shows it; I no longer have the 1973 service manual I once had, but believe it was shown in there. I am pretty sure that all points vehicles had the coil mounted the same way from 1972 through to 1974. EDIT: I corrected my above post. It's slightly out of range for this picture, but you can see it none the less.

The condenser is for radio noise suppression.
The left side (in your pic) has a tang that stops against the intake to keep it from rotating, a washer under the bracket supports it (I think)

It's a tiny picture, but I think this gets the idea across.

Here are pictures of the area and brackets (title of picture tells what it is of). No washer underneath that I'm aware of.
And the condenser on the side of the bracket is for radio noise suppression.
