Default 1986 Monte Carlo SS steering box

I bought the box to go on my Tempest. Box has maybe 200 miles on it. It has been converted to flared fittings and reconfigured for 64-72 A Body. Paid 200 will sell for 100. Buyer pays actual shipping cost. Had good feel till 326 blew up and car came off the road for restoration

Guy with 66 i am helping with wants to find a gear with a tighter feel/ratio vs the typical loose sedan box it has now.

What is the ratio like on this one?

It 2 3/4 lock to lock best I can tell. It’s a good street box, not for rally cross or anything but it made a difference in the way the car drove

I installed the same type on my '87 S-10 Blazer and my buddy's '84 El Camino. We are both quite happy with the quicker steering and road feel. My Blazer was lowered and had aftermarket wheels and tires on it; handled like a slot car.
