Default Box 25

I was looking over the build sheet on my 72 Lemans and noticed box 25 “spec order”. Does anyone know what this box is? Did a search with no luck.. Thx

Can you post a scan of the build sheet?

I think on at least Fremont build sheets the box 25 was for the color of the car.
Possibly a special paint car.
If so, it may have the paint formula/color on it down lower on the sheet?

This is a Framingham built car. The color is Lucerne Blue, not sure if it’s a special paint color? I checked the build sheet on my 71 GTO and the box is empty, same with a couple others that I came across??

I kind of mis-spoke on the box 25.
I think if the car has a special color, it would be noted in that box 25.
But it seems a lot of different things were noted in there if it had some special option. I don't know what they mean other than the special color one.

Your car does not have a special color. And if it doesn't note anything there, it doesn't have a special option.

I found some buildsheets I have that show a 451 among others.
Not sure what that pertained to. UPC 451 was wheel disc, which didn't apply to that buildsheet. (Had Rally wheels)

The code in the box is 22CGY V
Also there's a hand written “289” at the bottom of the sheet if that means anything?

Can you post a pic of the build sheet?

DO you have the PHS for it also?
(to possibly compare them)

My 1st thought seeing those characters I thought it was an axle code.
The GY axle is 3.08 but in a Firebird.

It's your transmission speedo gear, 22 tooth gray. Must be 3.55:1 gears.

Hey thanks for the help guys. That makes sense, it does have 3:55’s. Is there some literature that has this info? Couldn’t find anything here or on the interwebs.

John, I’m probably being paranoid but I’m hesitant to post this stuff these days..

I learned from looking several build sheets over the years.

Which is why people should share theirs with the certain people who seek examples. I don't have a list of who the certain people are, but John is one seeking to learn. I would be asking if this was a '70 model year.
