Parking Light Differences for 1970?
I've got another interesting difference I am finding on some parking lights I have.
I have two sets of parking lights. Both are identical and marked "GUIDE 24 F69" as they should be for 1970. HOWEVER, there is one thing different between these sets. One set has a riveted on mounting stud that is unthreaded. These mount by sliding a screw through the center and then screwing into a plastic keeper nut on the car. I have this pictured below, they are the ones painted in grey primer. The other set has a riveted mounting stud that IS threaded inside and has a threaded bolt on the back side. These are mounted with nuts on the backside and then screws secure the lens and bezel to the front. These are pictured below, still in original condition. Any thoughts on why these might be different? I am seeing examples of both of these out there on the market. First style: Second Style: |

the THRU hole style is 70 as that valance housing bracket is welded on ,,,
the threaded stud is 69 and the bracket is separate ... I would be interested in the 69's for my valance if you wanna let em go and as Im sure you know the lenses are dated also Scott 2o6 465 9165 |
