Helge; the car was just picked up, on it's way to Germany via Ham Lake, MN, Chicago IL, New York NY, and the Atlantic. The original Muncie is in the trunk inside the Richmond trans box. PHS, Protecto Plate, ownership papers, copy of title, copy of bill of sale, and extra keys are inside a big folder under the front passenger seat. Original title and bill of sale are in the glove box for the export company. I hope it has a safe journey. I am leaving my insurance active until you receive the car; just in case. Let us know when it arrives. Thanks again. John

PS pics to follow later tonight....

For those who requested pics here are a few selections from yesterday. I could barely watch as the guy loaded her up.

All pics are on my photobucket link http://s310.photobucket.com/albums/k...o-aa-257-4spd/

Default There she is...

The GTO arrived!

Yesterday i could pick up the car at the terminal in Rotterdam and brought her home on a trailer (hopefully the only 500 km the car will have to act as a trailerqueen over here...).

The transport was very smooth and the car suffered no shipping damage

I am very happy with the car and look forward on bringing it on the road.

Below some photos:

1. Car loaded on trailer at Rotterdam
2. Arrival at my home
3. Off the trailer (future rival in the background-as mentioned before, lots of Mopars around here...

I would have to say that the body of that Nissan looks like a Jeep Cherokee with fender flares and Nissan front end.

Wow look at all that wood. Living in Hawaii not much need for a fireplace I guess. Looks like a neat place.

Default Black 69 GTO

I'm glad to hear the car arrived safely Helge! I am also glad to hear you are pleased with the car. With some exhaust work and a good cleanup she will be ready to terrorize the Mopar contingent in your community

I am hopeful the original Muncie in the trunk and the PHS paperwork under the passenger seat also arrived without any problems.

Back here in the U.S. - things are just not the same for me. That black GTO was alot of fun and she will be missed.

I will share two final pictures from my archives: Same car, same little girl.....

Holly crap.
Taking into full account NOM and current economy,
that is a great driver and a great deal at that price.

What a great car to enjoy.
Congrats.

I am driving in the rain, at night, running errands, with the kids who are eating and having ice cream in the back, after going to the drag strip, burning rubber, and blowing donuts. Do you really think it's numbers matching all original?"

Thanks for the kind comments!

@ Mike: The tow car is my wifes '96 Nissan Patrol. 6 cylinder in-line Diesel engine, really great for towing and off-road driving. Nissan built the Patrols in more or less this body style from (iirc) the early 80s to the late 90s and it was a quite successful rough job car (if you look carefully at news pictures covering the various unrests and crisis' in strange and remote parts of the world these Nissans can be seen quite often somewhere in the background doing odd jobs with an amazing amount of people on board...)

@ John: Yes, the original Muncie and all paperwork arrived safely with the car. Next week i will satrt working on the exhaust and cleanup. I want to have the car on the road latest by July...

Helge

I've been following this thread, and I'm happy for you. Germany and Ireland are on my list of places to visit, and drink beer.

I'm a lover of old Ford pickups and would love to see pics of your F250

Cheers
Sid

@ Sid:

Below a photo of the F250...

Maybe this thread should be moved somewhere else in order not to clog up the for sale forum...?
