I will my original AC shroud available soon. It's off the car now and an electric fan will be going in its place.

I should say that I don't see a part number on it and since I'm not the original owner, I can't 100% verify it's original, but it fits very well.

I spoke with the owner of Firebird Central about this very issue a couple weeks ago - that Ames said the repop was junk. He said the one he sells is very nice as did a long-time Pontiac NOS parts guy I know because I was looking for an original for my car and purchased his from Firebird Central. . Might check with Firebird Central.

The one Firebird Central sells is GM 9788883, it fits but the fan isn't centered on my new to me 68 firebird. The ~19 inch fan I have is like an 1/8th from the passenger side and about 3/4 to an inch on the drivers side and top. Might be my car though, the motor mounts are brand new. The engine looks a bit tilted to the drivers side, no idea how, but the DS side measures 14.5 inches from valve cover to radiator, and PS side measures 13.75... weird.

I have one, its sorta fine but held in by zip ties at the bottom. I have a cold case which claims to be OEM style, but the aluminum tabs on the radiator did not at all seem to jive with the tab placement areas on the shroud. Who is at fault there I dont know.

I have a cold case and just removed the factory shroud 988883. The cold case tabs fit perfectly in the slots of my oem shroud.

I’ll look at mine tomorrow. Maybe I’m doing it wrong. There are these J Clips that came in my hardware kit that I could never get to work right. I just kept bending the tabs. I was afraid I was going to break one off so I just stopped and zip tied it.

It may not be you, the tabs are not rounded at the bottom to accept the shroud real well. I slid a phillips screw driver in the end and kinda worked it round. I'm 99% sure I have the original shroud.

How did it work out for you? Also, what size fan do you have and is it an OEM radiator?
