Default '68 Firebird Rally II's

Looking for a little info on '68 Firebird Rally II's. I have a chance to buy what I'm told to be a set of 4 for $100. Missing two center caps. This sounds like a good deal to me, but are they worth any more than any other rally II's? What codes do I look for? Are the JC the ones to have or are there rarer codes?

The only really rare codes are the 70-72 15" R2's. JW and KR

JC is the drum brake code, JA is disc brake.
67 & 68 have the same appearance with the larger JA / JC stamped codes, and no date codes.

69 have a smaller stamping/font - and date codes also stamped around the valve stem area.

$25 each is a nice price. (cheap)

$100 for 4 rally II's is a good deal no matter what codes. If 68 codes they are worth more than $100

For '68 Firebird, "JC" was the code for drum and disc brake applications.
This would be the larger font stamped near valve stem hole.

Thanks guys. I just thought I'd grab them if they were rare or hard to find. Not sure yet. I may go look at them this weekend.

They would also be correct code for same year GTO -Lemans - Tempest.

You would be able to double or maybe triple your money.
Correct trim rings in good/great shape would add to that.
