I plan to work on it some this coming week: check out the rally gauge issues, get the new tires mounted on the wheels I got from Don and get my brothers wheels back to him, and take a look at the brakes. It does start and run now (at least it did a couple months ago), but the rally gauges don’t seem to work and I would like to see the oil pressure and temp when it is running.

Hopefully some more progress by next weekend

The 69 SJ 4spd owned by a guy named Bruce from VA ... that rings some old bells !
Has to be the one that Rocky B. and Clarence W. restored back when.
Glad to read that you still own it.
It was BadAss !
Car must have had about 30-40 options and accessories on it.

The new 71 4spd sounds very interesting too
Hope it has a safe trip

Talk about a chick magnet
puzzy all over that car !
Must be the leather interior driving them wild.

One of the accessories is gone,
You didn't like the Hood Tach ?

I might be mixed up about it, but seems like he told me that car had a 3.90 axle ...about 20 years ago

I need to let my thinking cap warm up longer before i post about ancient trivia.
It was well over 30 years ago when he and i were emptying aluminum cans and talking about that car. It wasn't restored yet.
Not 20 years ago

i didn't even know a GP like that ever existed.
Blew my mind back then.

Grady outdid himself on those leather seats.
And they still look great.

Damn, time is the fastest thing on earth

Hey Bruce and thanks for the welcome. I am in Northern Va, western Fairfax county.

I've been able to work on the car some. The brakes that my Dad finished a while ago (probably 10 years) needed another rebuild since they were gunked up. Pulled the master cylinder and rebuilt it, rebuilt the front calipers and replaced the flex lines. Had to pull the vacuum booster also to fix a horrible creaking noise when the brake pedal was pressed. That's all back together and hopefully working. I need to rebleed the brakes once the rear end is back in the car.

I pulled the rear to detail it some and fix a leaking pinion seal, and I think it needs bearings also, so need to figure that out. It's always something
