I am getting to the wiring phase of this project. Am definitely going to use a remote solenoid, but which specific one? Or is it pretty much irrelevant.

I used the Summit brand set up it works great and was under $20 bucks. I also used a 4 gauge cable from the solenoid to the starter. No more hot start problems. Chuck

Ask for Scott E. @ Summit
Make sure you mount it in a easy to service location on the firewall, not where a wrench can fall and short-out the system...also easy to replace ??? Run a heavy wire or clip across the starter, with a #2/4 cable to the starter..You will also enjoy the ease of tuning/valve setting/comp. test etc..I really can't beleive that FORD came up with the system (only-kidding) good-luck..Dave |
