Help,
I have a 73Ventura,with 62,000 miles..350ci/pont. 2 barrel car that I am fixing up..Everything works except the gas/fuel gauge.I found a wire hanging and connected it to the wire coming from near the rear bumper.Look like the same wire that leads to the top of the tank..simular to my firebird..The tank looks like is been replaced so I am wondering if its connected on top of the tank, near the sending unit ???I can do engines & trannys, but I hate electrical..HELP..Dave,1033 any ideas would be greatly excepted.... |

Dave, on my 74 gto/ventura, there are 2 wires sandwiched on the top rear of the tank. one wire gounds to the rear bumper area and the other goes up into the trunk compartment and has a connector made on it that ties to the harness in the trunk. couldn,t see the front of tank (not jacked up), but rear bumper is off so could see rear of tank. besides, its too danged cold in garage. can look later this week if need be.
