Default TRI-Y POLL

This is a poll to find out how many of you fine people have ordered and recieved the Tri-y headers from Tribal Tubes (aka tunnel port Ron) and how many have ordered and not received them as of yet.

Please don't read anything into this. This is not a rant about how long people have been waiting. I have no agenda or axe to grind with Ron. I don't even know him, but I am very interested in purchasing a set from him. They are exactly what I am looking for. I am simply on a fact finding mission to see how many people are in line ahead of me.

John

I got mine about a year ago.
BUT-I knew that he had a bunch of sets at the time, and there would be no waiting.
I guess maybe I got some of the first run-probably near the middle or end of the run.

Paid for mine Feb/05...promised 4-6 week delivery...last talked to Ron in August...said he was close...nothing since then.

Wasted a whole damn race/cruise season with a fresh engine on the stand. Finally broke down in September and bought a set of Doug's...were here in a week...fit and run fantastic.

Suffice to say, I don't know what's going to happen with these Tri-Ys. If I ever see them, not sure if it's worth the trouble to change out these new Dougs...which I love...or just sell the Tri-ys and call it day.

Mike...obviously not happy with this whole experience.

Well, I can't vouch for what is going on now, but I think Ron said I was the first person to send him money in Feb 2004 when he first started - nearly $1200. Promised delivery time then was March 31, 2004. Spoke to him a few times over the months when he began having problems with the header company. I began to wonder if it was a gamble I was going to lose. He came through though by December 2004. During the time I changed my mind and went for the painted instead of coated and picked up a 3rd set from him with the left over money. He came through for me and the headers are nice quality, although I still haven't got around to install yet (shame on me). Anyway, maybe the situation has changed since his first run, but I'd put some faith in him, I think he'll come through.

Ron originally said this was a one time deal. If I wasn't already so deep into my budget, I would have bought two sets, round port and D-port.

Like Formula8 I ordered mine with the first batch in February of 2004. Received them in December of 2004. Ron did have a ton of trouble with the various header companies he worked with, but was able to come through with the first order. The headers are second to none. Like the rest of you that have already paid him, I too hope this deal comes through, and that he is able to start producing these headers. I truly hope he didn't get in over his head. It has been awhile since I last e-mailed him, but I do know he is essentially sacrificing his life to get these in production. It would be a shame for him not to suceed.

This has been going on for some time, has anyone heard from him? I think Ron is a stand up guy but I am starting to doubt since he hasn't contacted anyone.

How is it that you only had to wait a month, while others have been waitning for over a year or more? It just does not make sense!

Nope it doesn't, I'd say it was Ron's way of getting some more money for a set of headers that he had made instead of sending them to a guy that had already paid and that money was long gone.

What a stand up guy.

Dude, you need to do a search and figure out why we are jumpy. So you waited a month and got your tri-y's, that great. Not the case with us. We are tired of hearing people taking up for Ron. He says he has never stiffed anyone and he isn't going to start now. HAAA! I ordered headers a year ago and was supposed to have them in a month. I HAVE BEEN STIFFED! TOO LATE RON!
