I ran a 3" Pypes system, with an X on my 77 TA and it fit very well. My TA is very low and I've never drug the exhaust on anything, I have drug the headers on speed bumps though. I now have a Pypes 3 1/2 system with an X, very nice.

I just installed the complete driveshaft X-pipe 3" Pypes system with Race Pros on my 74. My friend spent some time fitting everything so it tucks as far up the car as possible. You can hardly see anything from the back or the sides . Quality was very good

They line up pretty good. I'll take some pictures.

However, in my instance the kit did not line up perfectly with the offset/offset mufflers. I had to get an offset/center muffler for the driver's side to make sure everything fit perfectly, and tucked up as high up as possible. I guess we could have made it work with the offset/offset muffler, but we didn't like the way everything hanged down, and came close to rubbing the body. I think the tailpipe was not bent correctly making this change necessary.

I've run 11 in wide tires on 10 in rims and they don't hit or rub at all.

If you still need the pics, here are some:

Correction on my previous post, it was the passenger's side that needed the offset/center

Just noticed was there a reason for the center exit muffler on the passenger side?

so, you ordered and installed a complete system and the tailpipes couldn't be lined up?
Strange.

Yes. Actually it was more convoluted than that . The system came with the wrong x-pipe setup (the wide one vs. driveshaft tunnel version,) which made it impossible to install anything. We got the correct x-pipe, and the tailpipe just was not going to line up perfect with the offset/offset muffler. We are guessing the tailpipe was not bent 100% correct necessitating the different muffler . However, if I was not anal about ground clearance, we could have made the offset/offset muffler work. Either way, BSM Exhaust (the vendor) took care of the problem, and I couldn't be happier with the way the system came out

I install all my exhaust myself so a fitment issue wouldn't be good.
