Def. a marketing ploy on someones part. I would imagine Burt Reynolds had no more interest in that car than going to the moon! Ownership provenance means absolutely nothing to me with this one. A nice car for sure but thats about it.

Now that '89 is nice! One of my all time favorite Trans Ams. Whish I had bought one when they $25k (but I couldnt afford it at that time either!!)
I saw one at Hershey last fall with low miles and a high price tag, wonder if its the same one? |

I admire them as well but the tird gens are going thru the roof these days - I guess it's their turn.

all '89 TTA were pace cars;
IIRC the decal set was in the trunk, and it was up to the owner (or selling dealer) to install the decals.
