Had I known all you guys were electronics "gurus", I'd have picked your brains a little! I did some work on my Hammond organ, recapped amps, new tubes, cleaned contacts, etc., and when all that work was done, had a 60hz hum I couldn't find the cause of. After a month of poking, checking my work, etc., found 1 strand of wire on a soldered connection, on the tube heater circuit, going to ground when putting the cover on the terminals! I'd have the cover off, everything checks out with regard to voltages. Put the cover on thinking I'm finished, problem resurfaces!
My old eye's didn't see that strand of wire until I took a very bright light and that's when I saw it! All's well now!

Had several..B3, C3, D model, A100, and now this A102/leslie 122. What surprises me is that the guts of these A series are simply a B3 with internal speakers and a different cabinet, but they're dirt cheap compared to a B3!
This one is staying for awhile!

They are still being used, chopped, resurrected...They are very much like the old cars; only so many around, and many are stripped for parts to keep others going. You can buy something new or newer to emulate the tone wheel organs, but it's just not the same sound.

I left an M3 in the BSMT of the JST PA home we sold. M3 was minty in & out. No space for it at our destination so maybe the Buyers kept it.
I colud stop by and ask. |

Actually I've never seen a Leslie in all it's original glory .. by the late 60s, early 70's most of them where stripped of their wood work and sitting on top of an amp.
I was fascinated by them when I was a kid. |

Had a small Leslie: spinning foam reflector above (low, mid, wide?) range soeaker, and gave it away. I thought it sounded rather aweful with music or Bass going through it.
Probably best & only use is with the Hammond Tone-Generator signals. Or Robert Plant like vocals. |

I'm not sure how many people know this, but forum member "Stick Boy" (Obeid Khan) makes his living building/designing amplifiers. The radio/dash in his '65 GTO inspired the faceplate of his PAK series of amps.

The Kahn amp looks interesting. Friend of mine is looking at a Quilter but I'm gonna show him the Kahn and maybe get myself one. To the OP and other amp builders - I do all sorts of mods to my guitars but leave the amp tinkering to others. At 66, not sure I'll be playing long enough to worry about it but "hats off" to your skills.
