I have a 2017 base with the 4 cylinder. It’s comfortable, good on gas and it’s been reliable as I commute pretty far daily. The 4 cylinder is fine on the highway but once you hit hilly backroads you’ll wish you opted for the V6 model.

I’m doing 24 but that’s 75 - 80 mph combined with fair amount of nasty hills as I live in a rural area.

I purchased a slightly used 2018 Impala back in February and have already put 12,000 miles on it....and I love it! Great styling, roomy, comfortable and a pleasure to drive on long trips - and the 305hp v6 is very peppy. When I’m not cruising around in my 65 tri-power I enjoy driving the Impala.

Here it is. 2019 Premier. The rebates were in order.
Still learning all the new bells and whistles.
It doesn't have an "ignition key" which means you can't take it out of park unless you start it with the button on the dash. And you can't play the radio for more than 10 " unless the motor is running.
Someone please tell me what the "reason" is for that ?

Once you get used to keyless ignition, you'll prefer it to having to use a key.

Not sure why you'd want to take it out of park without starting the car.

You can restart the radio without starting the car. Just press the button without your foot on the brake and you'll get another 10 minutes. I do this sometimes when I go to pick my wife up at the airport and I'm waiting in the pickup area and her flight or baggage are delayed.

I have an attic stairway in my garage and sometimes I have to push the car back a foot + to lower the ladder.

How would you tow the car if it won't start

I bought a 2014 Malibu LT for my wife new. Later She wanted AWD so I now drive the car as my Daily Driver. Its a decent car and has been reliable. Probably one of the "best value" cars I have ever had. Currently has 98K. Its 2.5/auto.
