What a weekend so far,,,,
4 shootings, 3 deaths within 1/2 mile of the house last night. Gang bangers are restless.

I'd say you live in a "hotter" zone than most. I was browsing around the map, and checking out a number of incidents since most have a local news link available by drilling down further.

I was reading the facts about a number of the local shootings on the map. One in particular was a guy who caught a woman stealing construction equipment out of his truck at 5am. He fired a couple of warning shots, and she took off. He then chased her down for a couple of blocks and he put several rounds into the side of her car. She was struck once. He retrieved the rest of his stolen property and went back home. I guess that goes beyond "self defense", and the police thought so too.

They say the homicide rate is down in 2015. Actually think more people were killed by drunk drivers.
