That is awesome. Great find. I really like 60's. Though I dont know that I would want one so original I would feel guilty about touching it.

Very nice well preserved Pontiac!

Nothing better than a "True Survivor".

Thanks for sharing.

Great car!!. When you look at that Gorgeous front window, you wonder why Pontiac could NOT seem to make a curve around REAR window on a Firebird in 1970, and had to wait till 75..

Boy, that car brings back memories...

It wasn't a Ventura, but my first car was a '60 Bonneville.

I too would like to hear the story.

A couple of years ago this car came available on kijiji in Ontario near Oshawa , after a few failed attempts to get see it , it was sold to a fellow in Alberta Canada. As we all know the falling price of oil hit the economy pretty hard out there. Just a few months ago i was poking around on Kijiji , as im always looking for theses cars, sure enough there it was for sale again. The guy who bought it is also restoring a 60 Catalina and didnt have the funds to start the Ventura .After weeks of recieving pics and comunication , i took the chance and bought the car sight unseen. First time Ive ever bought a car with out looking at it. Needless to say im very happy with it. It was all he said it was . I may just leave it as is .I marvel at how original it is, and sometimes i just sit in her and just look .LOL. I'll send some more pics soon. im going to be in contact with the previous owner and try and get some more history of the car. Thanks for the compliments, she is a real beauty and glad its mine.

Very nice! It looks like it's in great condition. My first car at 15 was a 60 Ventura, that was in 1972. It was given to me by a guy my dad worked with because he thought the transmission was shot. Was only the detent roller at $1.35! I had fun racing the car through the fields but I thought it was too ugly to drive in public. I made a few repairs on it and sold it for $100 bucks. Now I wish I still had it. I now think that it has great style.

Very nice. Factory A/C was pretty uncommon back then.

Front windshield glass is "laminated" (two ply with an inner poly liner).

Side and back glass is "tempered", so it's a different construction process with different design constraints.

I know the feeling!

Super nice Survivors (like your Ventura) are superior to any restoration.

I would also like to see the interior.
