'58 Bonneville...reliving my teens
When I was 17, growing up in Baltimore, I bought my first car - a 5-year old '58 Bonneville convertible. Paid $1000 for it. The car was equipped with a Tri-Power 370 engine, leather bench interior, and more chrome than one thought possible. I don't have any pictures of it (weird, I know, but I can't explain why) but it looked like this:
It was wrecked in 1966 (not my fault - it was parked), and I've always wanted another like it. So... thanks to a tip from my friend "Bonneville" Joe Evans in Texas (a fellow 2+2 enthusiast), I found this one on Long Island, NY: Another item checked off the bucket list.
